Christine K. Carpenter, 85, passed away October 12, 2016 while in the Intensive Care Unit at Metroplex Adventist Hospital.

Known by many as "Oma," she is survived by her daughter, Anna Marie Cox and son-in-law MG(Ret) Kendall P. Cox residing in Harker Heights, TX; her two grandchildren, CPT Jeffrey Cox, currently in Wiesbaden, Germany with his wife Emily; Paige Cox Carrasquillo residing in Harker Heights, TX with her husband Juan Carrasquillo and their twin daughters, Sofia and Chloe; and two sisters, Trudi Wojach and Lotte Kuhnlein of Roth, Germany.

Although Christine was originally born in Roth, Germany, she fell in love with an American soldier and was proud to become an American citizen in 1953. She was an Army wife for over 30 years. She was a sweet, loving woman who enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting and reading novels. She was kind and impacted the lives of those she came in contact with.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Christine's memory to the Metroplex Adventist Hospital, Intensive Care Unit in Killeen. Please visit www.crawfordbowersfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
