Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend Ray Kenneth Vasby Jr., passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018; he was 68 years old. He was born in Baltimore, MD to Ray Kenneth Vasby Sr.& Betty B. (Hatfield).

Kenny Ray, an Army Aviation retiree and Vietnam veteran with 3 campaign stars, who served also as an Army Recruiter earning Gold Badge with 3 Sapphires, and as an Army Club Manager. Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend Ray Kenneth Vasby Jr., passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018; he was 68 years old. He was born in Baltimore, MD to Ray Kenneth Vasby Sr.& Betty B. (Hatfield).

Kenny Ray, an Army Aviation retiree and Vietnam veteran with 3 campaign stars, who served also as an Army Recruiter earning Gold Badge with 3 Sapphires, and as an Army Club Manager. His favorite unit was the 101st Airborne Division and very often he quoted "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle". An excellent salesman who earned Ruby with Amway and highest honors with NCOA. He had a passion for old cars - could quickly name their year, make and model, and a close follower of politics and sports, specially NASCAR and football.

Kenny Ray was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his beloved grandmother Thelma Hatfield.

He is survived by his wife Pham Vasby, his daughters Michelle Roberts-Vasby and Jennifer Vasby, his granddaughter Lana Roberts, his stepson Tommy Kling, his sister Beverly Ann Ott, his brothers Richard, Jeffery, and Greg Vasby, and Gene Borrero.

Celebration of life for Ray will be at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors at 12:00pm.
