Born on the 4th of July 1975 in Temple, Texas, to Bonnie George Tedder III and Candy Elaine Tedder. Shana Tedder was the "big sister" to her brother, Bonnie Tedder IV. However, in the passing of her mother, at the tender age of six, Shana became the "protective mother hen" to her brother and eventually became the "mother hen" and "Chief" to all of her siblings including Chasity Walker and Michael Hatcher by marriage.

In spite of the tragic passing of her mother, Shana grew up in the loving care of Louis Lee Rodgers and Willie Lois Rodgers. She intellectually excelled in grade school, was recognized in the "National Junior Honor Society", graduated from Killeen High School, and majored in Criminal Justice at Prairie View A&M University with the plans of becoming an attorney.

However, the LORD had a plan of HIS own as Shana experienced the joy of motherhood in the beautiful bundle of joy wrapped in the name of "Tai-Aisha". As life continued to unfold God would allow Shana to experience meaningful purpose as she became an active officer in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

She genuinely loved and impacted everyone from officer to inmate and she found herself relating to inmates because of her brothers incarceration. There was no room in her heart to judge, hate, discriminate or love in partiality, as she loved her family without reserve.

Her "family" proved to be a lot larger than bloodline as she welcomed the love of Marjorie Collins as well as embracing Precious Collins as her daughter.

Shana leaves behind her brother Bonnie George Tedder IV, her daughter Tai Tedder and all she has welcomed into her family as brother, sister, daughter, son as well as aunt and uncles. As well as those she welcomed as her mother and father.

Another butterfly has gained her wings and has flown to the "Green Pastures" where the SHEPHERD dwells.

A wake will be held on Friday, June 16th from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Killeen. Homegoing Services will be held in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Killeen on Saturday, June 17th at 12:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest following the services in the Killeen City Cemetery.
